Stopping Nuclear Power: campaign planning weekend

London, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd November 2009

Bringing together groups from across the country and Europe (if they'll come!!) to meet, share info, ideas and create plans for campaigns and action against nuclear power.

Sounds like something you would be interested in? Good because it needs your help and involvement to make it happen!

Seeds for Change (http://www.seedsforchange.org.uk) is an activist training network that would like to facilitate and share skills for campaign and action planning sessions over this weekend.

In order to get this off the ground we need to establish who the space is for.

Suggestions at the moment are:

  • A broad base coalition of grassroots activist and all levels of NGO's staff and local groups.
  • A space for grassroot campaigners including local NGO groups to focus on what grassroots opposition can do to oppose nuclear power and develop skills and confidence in creating and implementing campaign and action plans.
  • Are there other groups that you would like to see contribute and involved in this weekend?

Please say what you think about these ideas...

Lets have a discusion about what space we want to create for planning and meeting others opposed to nuclear power and then get on and make it happen.

We need your help to make this worthwhile.

Invitation

No New Nuclear
Are you planning to win?

Time to get organised and stop a new generation of nuclear power stations.

11am Saturday 21st until 4pm Sunday 22nd November 2009
London
(Venue to be confirmed)

The weekend will be a space for grassroots campaigners to network, share ideas and information and make plans to win.

Whatever your campaigning tools are, wherever you are from, if you are in a group or an individual, this weekend is for us all. The more of us who can make it the better plans we can make.

By developing skills and confidence in creating and implementing campaign and action plans we can identify when and where our interventions can be most successful.

Seeds for Change is an activist training network that will facilitate the weekend and share skills for winning through campaign and action planning. Come along and take away ideas and tools for winning to share with your community and networks at home.

Costs: These will be kept as low as possible. Those who can afford it will be asked to contribute towards the cost of the venue and food (vegan food will be available), but don't let being skint stop you from coming :)...
