1.  L'Agence environnementale de Slovénie estime qu'il n'y a pas
    besoin d'une Étude d'Impact Environnemental pour prolonger la
    durée de vie de la Centrale nucléaire de Krško

Le 20 février 2017, l'Agence Environnementale de Slovénie a publié les
conclusions de sa procédure d'analyse d'Etude d'Impact Environnemental
concernant la prolongation de la durée de vie de la Centrale nucléaire
de Krško, affirmant qu'aucune EIE n'est nécessaire. L'Agence a mené
cette procédure d'analyse d'EIE en se basant sur les informations
fournies par un groupe d'ONG de défense de l'environnement montrant
qu'en 2012 l'Administration de Sûreté nucléaire avait étendu la durée
d'exploitation de la Centrale de Krško de 40 à 60 ans.

Durant la procédure d'analyse, l'Agence a consulté plusieurs autorités
compétentes qui pensent toutes que 20 années supplémentaires
d'exploitation de la Centrale de Krško n'auront pas de répercussions
sur l'environnement. C'est en se fondant sur ces opinions que la
décision de ne pas faire d'EIE a été prise. Le 6 mars 2017 un groupe
d'ONG de défense de l'environnement (Focus, PIC, Umanotera, SE-F) a
contesté cette décision défavorable à une EIE, invoquant, entre autres
raisons, la violation d'Aarhus et de la Convention d'Espoo.

2.  Germany: Easter March in Gronau and Jülich
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Several groups are calling for a supraregional Easter March on Good
Friday, April 14th in Gronau and Jülich. The rally will start in
Gronau at 1 PM at the railway station and lead to the uranium
enrichment facility. From there a shuttle bus will transport
demonstrators back to the railway station. At the research center in
Jülich, outside the uranium centrifugation company ETC, a joint
venture of Urenco and Areva, a vigil will start at 2 PM. ETC with the
centrifuges develops and constructs the knowledge on uranium
enrichment, and thus also provides an option for a military usage.

In context of the recent discussions about the supposed operation
start of a huge uranium waste repository in Gronau while at the same
time a possible closure of the uranium enrichment facility is
discussed by politicians, but also in context of international voices
for a new nuclear rearmament these actions in Gronau and Jülich are
very important.
