90,000 protested in Berlin
  • In reaction to the atomic desaster at the Japanese Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) Fukushima four mass demonstrations for globally shutting-down all NPPs have been announced in Germany.
  • The mass demonstrations will take place on 'March 26, 2011 - one months before the 25th anniversary of the atomic desaster in Chernobyl (Ukraine/Soviet Union) 1986 - in Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne and Munich.
  • All together some 210,000 people protested against nuclear power in the four cities - in Berlin there were 90,000 (organizers' information) or 120,000 people (police information) at the demonstration
