Talk:Anti-nuclear movement in Australia

Australia is estimated to have 40% of worlds known uranium ore reserves, but less than 1% of the worlds anti-uranium activists. Many mining companies want to sell it, exposing fragile Australian ecology to radio-active wastes & gasses and buyers anywhere in the world to more deadly concentrations, weapons & waste. Government policies undemocratically thrust new levels of exploration, mining, sales & waste (mis)management on us all. When it comes to uranium, we're all down-wind... there's no safe dose, for about 10,000 years.

Thankfully, some of Australia's anti-nuclear activists are real champions, who care passionately about this country, this planet, & it's future.

Try googling Dr. Helen Caldicott (or read "Nuclear Power is not the answer to Global Warming or Anything Else") or Prof. Ian Lowe ("if nuclear is the answer, WHAT was the question?") for a flood of alarming info of nuclear calamities & cover-ups.
