1.  Ecodefence: nova saslušanja na sudu
----------------------------------------------------------------------
5. prosinca 2014. Održalo se sudsko saslušanje u procesu žalbe
Ecodefence na globu od 6000€ kazne na temelju zakona „strani agent“.
Ecodefence kaže da je kazna nelegalna jer njihova organizacija nije
strani agent. Međutim, Vlada ima drugačije mišljenje i Ecodefence će
to teško promijeniti. Nadalje, Ecodefence pretpostavlja da će globa
ipak biti nametnuta. U tom slučaju, organizacija najavljuje da nema
namjeru platiti. Predstavnici zelenih pretpostavljaju da će tim
postupkom Ministarstvo pravosuđa dobiti razlog za gašenje
organizacije.

Nadalje, Ministarstvo pravosuđa je 19. studenog 2014. pokrenulo još
jedan slučaj protiv Ecodefence-a kada je organizacija odbila podnijeti
izvješće o radu prema zakonu „stranog agenta“. Ecodefence će se
vjerojatno suočiti sa dodatnih 7 -8 tisuća € globe. Datumi ročišta još
nisu objavljeni, ali, pretpostavlja se da bi mogli biti objavljeni u
prosincu. Važno je naglasiti da je Ecodefence pravno progonjen
poglavito zbog uspješne kampanje protiv prijedloga izgradnje
nuklearnog postrojenja kraj Kaliningrad-a. Ecodefence je godinama bio
važan partner Njemačke u anti-nuklearnom pokretu u Rusiji. Na primjer,
zajedno su potpuno prekinuli odvoz urana iz postrojenja za
obogaćivanje Gronau u Rusiju.

2.  Češka Vlada želi iskapati uran u Brzkov-u od 2022
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Udruga „Naša budućnost bez urana“ (NBBU) iz Brzkova od lipnja 2014.
pokušava objasniti  vlastima regije Vysočina i dužnosnicima
ministarstva apsurdnost otvaranja rudnika urana u Brzkovu i uvjeriti
ih da poduzmu potrebne mjere za sprečavanje iskapanja. Prema
najnovijim informacijama češka Vlada i dalje želi iskapati uran a
regionalne vlasti to podupiru. S druge  strane opozicijski vijećnici
potiči dijalog sa NBBU i lokalnim stanovništvom.

Članovi NBBU su bili prilično zaposleni u proljeće, ljeto i jesen.
Prvo su osnovali udrugu početkom lipnja. Ovime su preuzeli odgovornu
ulogu branitelja svojih prava i doma. Slijedom toga održali su prvu
debatu ( suorganizator – Calla) na kojoj su predstavili svoju peticiju
„NE ISKAPANJU URANA U REGIJI VYSOČINA“ koja je upućena premijeru
Sobotki ( 1700 potpisnika do sredine listopada). Potpisali su
„Memorandum za budućnost bez urana“ zajedno sa četiri lokalne upravne
jedinice. Organizirali „Mimohod protiv urana“ u rujnu i izložbu
fotografija „Lica urana“ (u suradnji s Calla-om) otvorenu do kraja
listopada. Za vrijeme posjeta postrojenju za proizvodnju kemijskih
preparata u Donjim Rožnícama uspostavili su u kontakt sa vodstvom
odjela GEAM državne tvrtke DIAMO, koja je ovlaštena za izradu studije
izvedivosti pronalaska ležišta urana u Brzkov-u, Horní Věžnice.

3.  EJOLT izvješća: razbijanje mitova o uranu i nuklearnoj energiji
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dva najnovija izvješća razotkrivaju brojne mitove kojima se sakriva
realni utjecaj iskapanja urana i potiče nuklearna renesansa u Europi.
Međunarodni tim znanstvenika i aktivista koji rade na globalnom
projektu EJOLT koji se bavi mjerenjem realnog utjecaja na okoliš.

Prvo izvješće se bavi iskapanjem urana i otkrivanja utjecaja nuklearne
industrije; a drugo izvješće govori o proširenim nuklearnim
kapacitetima u Europi, utjecaju iskapanja urana i alternativama.

4.  Izjava o nesreći na nuklearnom postrojenju u Zaporizhye, Ukrajina
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Incident na nuklearnom postrojenju Zaporizhye ukrajinska nuklearna
industrija smatra rutinom. Naime 28. studenog su u NPP  Zaporizhye
zakazali transformatori energije. Rad iste jedinice je već jednom bilo
obustavljen automatskim zaštitnim sustavom u lipnju 2014., zakazala je
crpka. Zaporizhye je jedna od 15 ukrajinskih reaktora, od kojih je 12
trebalo biti ugašeno ovoga desetljeća zbog isteka roka uporabe.
Ukrajinska Vlada, međutim, pogoduje produženju rada starih postrojenja
jer ne postoji plan za razgradnju elektrana niti ideja za nove izvore
energija jer je gotovo polovica električne energije u Ukrajini
proizvedena iz nuklearnih izvora.

Trenutni sukob sa Rusijom otkriva probleme u nuklearnom sektoru.
Ukrajina se prilično oslanja na ruska nuklearna goriva (vrlo je teško
zamijeniti dobavljača), rezervne dijelove i tehničku dokumentaciju što
otvara prostor za sukobe slične onima za prirodni plin koji ove države
vode već godinama. Nedavna nesreća je također prezentirala još jedan
problem koji nuklearna energija stvara općenito energetskom sektoru –
koncentracija proizvodnih energenata. Incident je zaustavio isporuku
1000 MW jedinica, što je uzrokovalo disbalans u energetskom sektoru i
dovelo do lančanih nestanaka električne energije. Država je gladna
prirodnog plina i ugljena čime bi mogla kompenzirati izgubljene
energetske kapacitete.

Dok mnogi stručnjaci žude za promjenama u energetskom sektoru koje bi
smanjile potrošnju i započele razvoj obnovljivih izvora energije čime
bi se postigla energetska neovisnost, Europska Unija kroz Europsku
banku za rekonstrukciju i razvoj zajmovima financijski podržava
programe za produženje životnog vijeka sovjetskih reaktora. Ovako
Europa neće dobiti ništa osim povećanog rizika od velikih nuklearnih
nesreća i daljnje energetske ovisnosti Ukrajine o Rusiji.

5.  Skup protiv transporta urana
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Početkom prosinca se održao sastanak 50-ak anti-nuklearnih aktivista
iz Francuske, Rusije, Nizozemske i nekoliko regija iz Njemačke. Tema
je međunarodno okupljanje protiv transporta urana. Naglasak je na
razmjeni iskustava i umrežavanje neovisno o granicama da bi se ojačalo
protest protiv međunarodnog prijevoza u nadolazećim mjesecima.

6.  Nesreća na NP  Tihange u Belgiji
----------------------------------------------------------------------
30. studenog 2014. je na belgijskom nuklearnom postrojenju Tihanga 3
na rijeci Meuse, 65 km zapadno od Aachen-a u Njemačkoj izgorio
transformator. Reaktor je morao biti istoga trena ugašen. Operator je
trivijalizirao nezgodu tvrdeći da je potpuno bezazlena i tipična za
proizvodna postrojenja. Prisjetimo se:  završni događaji u NP Krummel
u Njemačkoj su  počeli sa problemima na transformatoru, 2009. njemačko
NP Lingen je također moralo biti isključeno iz mreže zbog problema sa
transformatorima. Nažalost Tihange 3 je već opet u funkciji…
Zahtijevamo  trenutno zatvaranje cijelog nuklearnog kompleksa u
Tihange i NP Doel – bez eksperimenata sa našom sigurnošću!

7.  Nuklearne laži -novi indijski film u Austriji
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Premjera filma „Nuklearne laži“ održala se 7.12.2014. u austrijskom
glavnom gradu Beču. 60-minutni film je režirao mladi redatelj indijac
Praved Krishnapilla koji posljednjih 15 godina živi u Austriji.
Redatelj gledatelja vodi svojom domovinom Indijom i ukazuje mu na
široki spektar trikova i laži kojima se služi nuklearni lobi (ne samo
u njegovoj zemlji) da bi pobijedio u smrtonosnoj igri protiv
društvenog interesa gdje se ljudi boje za svoju budućnost, za gubitak
prihoda i zdravlja. Financiran od mnogih, film su u velikoj mjeri
poduprli aktivisti austrijskog NGO  “Waldviertler Energiestammtisch“ i
drugi.

8.  Austrija, dome IAEA, kaže NE nuklearnome

„Austrija je desetljećima zadržala čvrsto stajalište o nuklearnoj
energiji. U Austriji nema proizvodnje nuklearne energije.“ Samo
pomisao, čini nam se čudno da je IAEA- Međunarodna agencija za atomsku
energiju koja postoji jedino zato da bi promovirala nuklearnu
energiju, smještena u Beču u državi koja je uvijek bila i nadalje će
biti bez nuklearne energije. Znaju li oni nešto što ne govore nama
ostalima? Možda bi se IAEA trebala početi ponašati u skladu sa svojom
propagandom pa preseliti u Sellafield!?

11. „Nuklearno ludilo“ protest na željezničkoj postaji Carlisle

Pjevali smo „Vlakovi i brodovi i avioni donose nuklearni otpad u naše
domove…“ da bismo pokazali solidarnost sa ostalim skupinama u
Ujedinjenom Kraljevstvu u Wiganu, Brixtonu, Bristolu, Warringtonu,
Lancasteru koje sudjeluju u prosvjedu protiv nuklearnih vlakova.
Nuklearni vlakovi prolaze kroz postaju Carlisle često i dva puta
tjedno, tri boce nose radioaktivnost koja jednaku nuklearnoj bombi
Hiroshime.

12. Japan: Restart of the Sendai Nuclear Power Plant
----------------------------------------------------------------------
On November 7, 2014, Kagoshima Prefectural Council approved a petition
for the restart of two reactors at the Sendai Nuclear Power Plant,
while rejecting 31 petitions opposing it in some ways (e.g. outright
opposition, calling for caution, demanding more research and the
inclusion of more local residents as stakeholders). Given the
council’s approval, Kagoshima Governor Yuichiro Ito is expected to
express his support for the restart of the nuclear reactors sometime
soon.

13. Support for restriction of radioactivity in production of food

You probably do not wish that radioactive fertilizers are used and
radioactivity spreads in production of food. The amounts of
radioactivity in phosphate ores vary considerably and no directive
exists for limiting the radioactivity accepted in fertilizers. Our
attempt is to urge the European Union to issue a directive to
restrict radioactivity in fertilizers by setting a limit to the amount
of radioactivity accepted. We hope that you can support this
initiative, below is a link to a model letter of support to be sent to
the commissioners and the letter we sent to them, with addresses. If

14. Conference on the international law suit of the Marshall Islands
    in Vienna 
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The small pacific republic of the Marshall Islands was heavily
affected by nuclear-bomb tests after the World War II. There were
evacuations and there are still babies born with deformations. As a
member state of the UNO, the Marshall Islands, supported among others
by an international team of advocates and lawyers, filed a law suit
before the International Court of Justice in April this year. On
December 5th 2014 a high ranking meeting of supporters, among others
the Foreign minister of the Marshall Island, Mr. Tony de Brum, the
judge and winner of the Right Livelihood Award Dr. C. Weeramantry
from Sri Lanka and Dr. Peter Weish from Vienna met in the Austrian
capital to discuss the prospects of this attempt to push the nuclear
power states for the realisation of the promised progress in matters
of nuclear disarmament, which seem stuck.

15. American-Japanese filmmaker Ian Thomas Ash - two films about
    Fukushima awarded at festival

At the recently held Lake Champlain International Film Festival, Ian’s
two films about Fukushima, ‘In the Grey Zone’ (2012) and ‘A2-B-C’
(2013), were awarded the “The Golden Honey Comb for Outstanding Work
in Film”. More information about the festival and the award can be
found on the Documenting Ian Blog. In October the organizers of the
Film festival in Prague showed the film A2-B-C, too, and had a
discussion organized with Japanese-German activist Katsuhiko Kobayashi
about how the nuclear lobby is treating innocent children and how a
lot of mothers in Japan have to deal with their difficult situation
after Fukushima.

16. Russian environmentalists demands on deep nuclear waste burial

17. Radwaste hearings in Angarsk, Russia

The Russian uranium enrichment enterprise Angarsk Electrolysis
Chemical Combine (AECC) admitted at a public hearing in early December
that radioactive waste containing uranium, transuranic elements, and
uranium fission products are in storage at its "Site 310." But with no
detailed plan about what to do next with the waste, the facility and
the waste's future remains under debate.

18. First Rosatom Nuclear Power Plant in India has serious problems

Rosatom's unit Atomstroyexport has been building the Kudankulam plant
in India’s southern state of Tamil Nadu under a contract signed in
1988. The first unit of the plant (KKNPP 1) started commercial
operation on June 30th 2014, according to the IAEA. That is not true.
Commercial operation of KKNPP 1 was postponed nearly forty times. The
operator of the plant expects commercial operation in 2015. In
September 2014 the plant had to be shut down for more than seventy
days because of damaged turbine. The turbine is not the only problem.
Rosatom has used substandard and falsified components.
